It hardly seems possible it's time for a new edition of Fiber Femmes; time is flying faster than the snow storm outside my windows! You've got a lot of good and fun in this issue; even the charities have changed just a tad. This time, instead of telling you about charities accepting hand knitted or crocheted items, we're telling you about Rubia and Knitter's Without Borders. The world is shrinking and most of us are in a position to do some good in this, sometimes, frosty world. And, sometimes when we do some good, we're put in a position to reap some tangible rewards as well.

Fiber Femmes is giving away prizes...again!  Every other month,

we're going to randomly draw a name and give away a delightful fibery prize. The first prize is Big Girl Knits by Jillian Moreno and Amy R. Singer. That's right...those knitty.com gals have written a fabulous book telling you how to design and knit so the 3 B's (belly, boobs and butt) are maximized....no, no...minimized to their fullest potential.

Femmes, they make your body parts look Great!

There's a tiny catch to this little contest; in order to win you have to sign up for our newsletter and we'll randomly draw a name from our subscriber list.  Then read the newsletter to see if you won!

**************

I am continually amazed at the talent and artistry of the wonderful people that write for Fiber Femmes.  There are too many fantastic articles to chose a favorite, so don't miss any!  We're talking about quilting, bobbin lace, needle felting, knitting and crocheting in this issue, along with a good article on estate planning that should get everyone thinking about the future!  We hope you enjoy this issue and that you're looking forward to spring as much as we are!

Don't forget our community; we're trying to build a sisterhood of fiber fanatics here.  Sign up for our newsletter for all the great contests and special things, and, if you have a web site or blog, join our web ring!
