Abigail resides in a tiny mountain
town, in the US, where she spoils her family, works part time and
knits, perhaps too much.
When she was a little girl her Great
Grandmother taught her how to crochet and she fell in love with the
tiny hook. Many sweaters, Afghans, doilies and tablecloths (news
flash)
flowed from her hands. Fast
forward to August 2004. On her birthday, her son presented her with
a "learn how to knit" kit. It took some time to get the hang of it
as she had to teach herself with some help from
Barbara Walker and Elizabeth
Zimmerman. When it all came together, she fell in love with this new
form of fiber art. Soon sweaters and small knits and were brought
forth.
A year later Abigail discovered
sock knitting and has found her knitters "true love". It is a
passion with 61 pairs of socks knit so far and many more to come.
But occasionally she steps beyond her obsession and
knits other items. Once a dear blogger friend shared the famous Garterlac Dishcloth pattern and a new world of small knits opened up to her.
One day she was reading EZ book, Knitters Workshop and was inspired to knit a smaller version of the Baby Blanket in worsted weight dishcloth cotton. The 4 Corners Dishcloth was born and the rest is history.
Please visit her
blog to find out more
about the 4 Corners Dishcloth and to enter her contest.
Send her a picture and it will
be entered into the 4 CORNERS GALLERY. The 100th dishcloth
submission will win a prize. Send it to her email below.
She is also working on an
additional contest. One person from the 100 dishcloths submitted
will win a prize too. The person will be selected at random.)
You are more than welcome to
visit her blog or email her at a1870pearl at yahoo.com. Keep
on eye on her - you never know what she's going to knit up next.
