Submission Guidelines Article Submissions Fiber Femmes is currently accepting articles in the following departments. Articles should be in text or document files and any accompanying photographs should be .jpeg format. Pictures are encouraged! *Features: In depth articles on any aspect of fiber craft, fiber animals, fiber tools, types of fiber, textile museums, art such as paper making, felting, knitting, spinning, etc. We will also consider articles on subjects such as web design and other helpful aspects of running a fiber business. *Fiber Focus: Accent on women in fiber; well-known or interesting, in all walks of fiber life. *Featured Guild: Any fiber guild is welcome and encouraged to submit an article about their guild, history or current events. *Festival Review: Either an article from a promoter describing the festival or the experiences of a festival goer are welcome. *Patterns: Currently interested in Quilting, Knitting, Crocheting, Felting or any other fiber related pattern. Please submit quality photos that show off your design! Those with models are excellent! *Photos: Good quality photographs needed of fibery subjects, ranging from animals to tools to activities or anything that says fiber to you, for our front page and some departments. Submissions Requirements Submissions are due the 15th of the month preceding publication, as per dates below. Both color or black and white photos are encouraged but may be sent no more than six in an e-mail. Fiber Femmes reserves the right to edit all submissions and to choose best submitted photographs to attend each article. Images should be .jpeg format and sent separately from the text document. Embedded files and metafiles are difficult to work with and sometimes cannot be converted to the Fiber Femmes format. If your article contains high density materials, please contact Fiber Femmes before sending. Dial up ISP prohibits an excess of high density materials being received in a timely fashion.
Writers will be given a byline, web site and/or blog link and short biography
of author, all submitted by you. If you have a business,
payment is in the form of one business card ad which must be submitted
by you when you submit your article. Business card advertisements may also
be used to promote your blog or other on-line interest, with approval by
Fiber Femmes. Please see the
advertising guidelines for more information. Submit articles with biographies and any
advertising to our
