Review by Leslie Shelor

Each issue we hope to review a special fiber related blog or web site that has captured our attention.  All fiber sites are eligible and one will be chosen at random for review.  (Hint: a link to Fiber Femmes will make it MUCH easier to find you!)

Damselfly's Delight

Louisa of Vancouver, British Columbia, maintains a beautiful blog at Damselfly's Delight.  The first entry I read was about a wonderful and very special birthday doll she created. The entry before was about a beautiful sweater she had finished, complete with statistics and notes!

Louisa also includes book reviews, beautiful photos of her lovely area, some instructional entries on knitting, thoughts about different crafts, grandparenting entries, and more.  She lists her occupation as Fiber and Bead Artist/Instructor, and I get the feeling that I would enjoy her classes.  She writes in her profile, "As the damselflies flit around the water and the plants, I flit from one textile technique to another. Then when I've absorbed it, I share what I've learned with anyone who's interested. I even dream in fibres and beads!"

Every entry is lively and has a special theme, written by an observant and creative author.   I enjoyed my visits to Damselfly's Delight; you have to love someone who enjoys Nightmare Before Christmas!
