Article Submissions

Fiber Femmes on-line magazine accepts articles that are educational,
informative and "how-to" in quality with a bit of FF Fun thrown in. FF
readers want and expect articles to impart information they can use either
now or later in their fiber lives. Articles should be professionally written, single-spaced using Ariel font size 12 and sent in either a text or document file and must be substantiated with noted research. For example, articles should focus on how someone started her business as opposed to being advertising for the business. The focus is on the fiber femme and not on the business. Fiber Femmes wants articles and photos on interesting women who raise and/or breed the fiber animals, spinners, weavers, knitters, crocheters, dyers, felters, guilds, shops, farm stores, quilters, makers of books/paper...virtually any woman who is involved in the fiber industry and arts. The only caveat...they must be Fiber Femmes.  But we're not leaving the gents out...the first issue of every year will showcase a Fiber Fellow.

Submissions are due the 15th of the month preceding publication, as per

dates below. Both color or black and white photos are encouraged but may be sent no more than six in an e-mail. Fiber Femmes reserves the right to edit all submissions and to choose best submitted photographs to attend each article.  Images should be .jpeg format and sent separately from the text document.  Embedded files and metafiles are difficult to work with and sometimes cannot be converted to the Fiber Femmes format.

If your article contains high density materials, please contact Fiber Femmes
before sending. Dial up ISP prohibits an excess of high density materials
being received in a timely fashion.

You will be given a byline, web and/or blog link and short bio, all
submitted by you. If you have a business, payment is in the form of one
business card ad which must be submitted by you when you submit your
article. Please see the advertising guidelines for more information.
Submit articles with biographies and any advertising to our submissions department.  If you have any questions, please contact Sandra Bennett.
