Fiber Femmes Helping Others Warm Up America!
Create a warm afghan
blanket for someone in need. That's what
Warm Up America!
is all about --- keeping people warm. Sound simple? Well, it is, and it works
because you can make a difference whether you complete one small section or an
entire afghan.
To knit or crochet "perfect" Warm Up
America! sections, cut a 7" by 9" cardboard template. Use the template as
a guide; it's easier to handle than a measuring tape and great for kids.
When possible, we encourage Warm Up
America! participants to work with family members, neighbors and friends
to complete afghans and distribute them in their own community. When this
is not possible, the Council will gladly accept sections, strips or
completed afghans. We distribute the
completed blankets to social service
agencies that contact our office. Ship to:
