Welcome to the debut issue of Fiber Femmes! Great Women Building a Gracious World
Thank you for the
outpouring of well wishes and kind comments from fiber enthusiasts all
over the world.
We feel
we’ve hit upon a niche market and, with your help, will bring you Fiber
Femme news from all over the world for many years.
Thank you for forgiving
us our little glitches and the odd misspelled word for it’s due to our
excitement and enthusiasm we sometimes miss the mark. Even so, we feel
Fiber Femmes is a never-ending already ancient story and we’re merely
spokes in a continuing wheel, threads in the story…if you don’t mind the
obvious <g>.
This issue brings more
exciting articles, photos, fiber news, book review, guild coverage,
charity focus and more.
Please note Spinning
and Weaving Week is October 2-8, 2006 and loads of “Ideas That Work”
can be found at the
Handweavers Guild of America, Inc. site.
And, two of our
favorite fiber festivals, Fall
Fiber Festival and Southeastern
Animal Fiber Festival, are October’s shoulder weekends. Please see our
fiber festival calendar for more information.
Don’t forget to…send in
your fiber photos, your Tombstone, your fun fibery websites…share the
wealth
and
then, pass along our website to your friends and lists. Check out
the fun submissions from last month!
Do you
have a favorite Fiber Fellow? Nominate him for
Fiber Fellow of the year by sending in a short blurb and photo of him
doing something fibery. Please send nominations ASAP; we'll showcase them
in the Nov/Dec issue and by year's end you'll have elected your favorite
guy. He'll be featured in the Fiber Femmes Jan/Feb 2007 issue.
And please...mention Fiber Femmes
in your blogs.
Life is FIBERY good!
Let the Fiber Femmes
Fun begin!
